Artsindia.com was the first online Indian contemporary art gallery to bring original art, designer crafts and limited edition prints to the US Market. An expanding selection of artists and their artworks and the desire to extend this model to create an international gallery 'artswithoutborders.com' led to the need to revise the site using an ASP enabled database driven model. Critical to this transformation were two issues: a graphic identity that would unify the user experience in the 'sites' and an information design model that could organize and accommodate the growing collection. I assisted the creative director based in New York City in this endeavor and worked on the navigation bars/graphics. The challenge lay in creating a simple and uniform user interface that would allow us to express the unique 'identities' of the constituent sites namely artsargentina, artsisrael and artsindia.
