Congratulations on completing the
deliverables for your task! The documents have
been forwarded to your supervisor, Avi Yogi who will send them to Elizabeth
Page for approval. Be prepared to hear from Avi soon. The feedback you
will receive from Avi will form the basis of our tasks in the Tutorial
2 : Design: Creating the framework for your website.
Before we leave Tutorial 1, let us review the
key steps in Planning a website design project :
- Outline goals for the site
- Defined the target audience for the site (user
analysis)
- Survey similar sites (market/competitive analysis)
- Choose appropriate tools and technologies for development
and delivery
- Outline an approximate budget and time required
to complete the site
- Create an inventory of the content to be delivered
| Some 'reflection' questions: |
Did you follow these steps while working on your project?
Should these steps be carried out chronologically?
If you had to pick a step, which one do you think is absolutely critical
for a web design project?
Was there a particular step that you really enjoyed?
Post your experience of planning a site in the discussion board
"Topic: Tutorial 1 Plan Reflections". Add a comment
on atleast one posting made by your colleague. |
