Before you get started!

Revisit some of your favorite comic books.

I mean really...get them out of the basement or attic, out of the dust covers, read them again. Borrow them from the teen/children section of your local public library. While reading them, think about the comic that you are going to create...steal ideas...borrow characters, settings.

Well let's get serious...look at your favorite comic books from the standpoint of techniques, plot development, layout, drawing and dialogues.

Make a list of characteristics common to most of these comics you love. Post this list to the Comics 101 discussion board under the topic: Comic Characteristics. Remember to include the names of the comics you read in your post.
